The VIU Premium Blue Light Filter was developed to support your eyes in this regard: it can contribute to a more comfortable viewing experience in front of screens, making it easier to work in front of a screen in a more relaxed manner.

The key difference: while regular blue light filters often have an annoying residual reflection, we have developed an innovative coating in collaboration with our Swiss manufacturer Optiswiss that makes the lenses virtually invisible. Our blue light filter combines maximum anti-reflective lenses with this new technology.

Visible light is composed of different wavelengths, of which blue light (or blue light) represents a short-wave, high-energy portion (380 to 500 nm). Technically, this portion is also referred to as HEV light (High Energy Visible Light).

Blue light is present in both natural sunlight and artificial light emitted by screens.

The relevance: blue-violet radiation lies in the short-wave range from 400 nm to 455 nm, where the eye is most sensitive. Our VIU Premium blue light filter reduces transmission in this critical spectrum by up to 45%. However, it is important to note that blue light also regulates our biorhythm, as it suppresses the production of the sleep hormone melatonin.
